At Renshu, we take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are.

Data we collect

Account data

Email and name (provided through Google Sign-In or direct registration). Required to create and manage your account.

Training data

Sessions, exercises, sets, weights, reps, times, distances, RPE, routines, and personal records. These are the core of the service.

Payment data

Processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. We only store the customer ID and subscription status.

Device data

Only if you submit voluntary feedback: platform, browser, screen size. We do not collect location data or use tracking cookies.

Why we use your data

We use your data exclusively to provide the service: recording your workouts, calculating statistics, syncing across devices, and managing your subscription. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who has access

  • Clerk (authentication): manages your sign-in. Servers in the US.
  • Stripe (payments): processes payments if you have a Premium plan. Servers in the US.
  • Neon (database): stores your training data. Servers in AWS Europe (London).
  • Vercel (hosting): serves the application. Global network.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (verification): protects sign-in against bots. Global servers.

Data retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently and immediately deleted (including sessions, exercises, routines, and payment data).

Your rights (GDPR)

  • Access: you can view all your data from the app.
  • Portability: you can export your data in JSON format from Settings.
  • Erasure: you can delete your account and all your data from Settings > Danger zone.
  • Rectification: you can modify your personal data at any time.
  • Complaint: you can file a complaint with the Spanish DPA (agpd.es) or your local data protection authority.

Cookies

Renshu does not use tracking or analytics cookies. Only strictly necessary functional cookies are used for authentication (Clerk) and payment processing (Stripe).

Minimum age

Using Renshu requires a minimum age of 16 years, in accordance with the GDPR.

Changes to this policy

If we make substantial changes, we will notify you through the application. Continued use after the update implies acceptance of the new policy.
